Place 360 delivers a suite of urban planning consultancy services. Established in 2020 by Grant Palethorpe, a qualified town planner, the name reflects Grant’s approach to ‘consider a place from all perspectives’. Grant enjoys working closely with the client to explore a site’s potential and determine the planning requirements.
“We coordinate the approval process, inform the design team, prepare, lodge, and monitor the DA stages,” he said. “We maintain close contact with the client throughout and become an integral part of the process.”
Grant draws on his previous career experience as a business banker where his role involved building relationships with clients to help them realise their goals. “Whether in planning or banking I enjoy helping clients achieve their goals. You really need to appreciate their motivation and vision,” Grant said. Understanding the dynamics of property development, lending criteria, cash flows forecast, valuation and project management brings valuable insight to any project. “Being able to appreciate these business issues is a distinct advantage to achieving great planning outcomes,” Grant said.
